Featured listing disclosure

What "Featured" means

A featured listing is a paid placement. The provider has purchased visibility in a labeled slot on certain pages. Featured placement does not influence the organic ranking that appears below the featured slot.

Eligibility

• Only claimed listings whose owner has completed our claim verification process are eligible.
• The provider must hold an active state-board license verifiable through our state board directory.
• NPPES identity fields (name, NPI, taxonomy, practice address) must match the claim.
• The listing must comply with our editorial policy and all listing content rules.

How featured listings are labeled

• A persistent "Featured" badge appears on the card.
• The card is set in a visually distinct section, separated from organic results.
• The label links to this page so any reader can understand the placement.
• In structured data (Schema.org), featured cards are excluded from organic ItemList markup.

Limits

• A maximum number of featured slots is shown per page so organic results remain the primary experience.
• Featured placement does not change a provider's organic ranking score.
• Featured placement does not remove or suppress any other provider.
• Featured providers are still subject to the same corrections process and review policy as everyone else.
